As a Post-baccalaureate fellow at the National Institutes of Health, I work in Dr. Clifton Barry's lab, contributing to a chemical biology project investigating a gene for long-chain coenzyme A synthetase and its relationship to drug efficacy. Additionally, I am engaged in hands-on chemical syntheses of possible therapeutics. In this role, I am combining.

Over three years of being an undergraduate researcher, under Professor Andrew Koch, I generated novel compounds using organometallic synthetic techniques and used Gaussian and Z-matrices to further understand compound reactivity. In addition to performing literature searches to construct synthetic schemes, I also mentored and trained junior students on.
