About Michael Bodo
Michael Bodo, MD, Ph.D, has more than 30 years of experience as a clinician and experimental scientist in brain-related research. His areas of expertise include development of electronic devices for intelligent medical measurements and data processing systems. He has worked extensively in the areas of cerebral blood flow and metabolism, neurosurgical ICU monitoring, neuroprotection, biofeedback, psychophysiology, neurophysiology, primary stroke prevention, sleep research, and data processing of EEG and analog physiological signals. He has served as principal investigator and co-investigator for several grants awarded by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Institutes of Health (NIH). He is author/co-author of numerous publications (see MedLine) and copyrights. He is inventor of several patented medical electronic devices and neuroprotective pharmaceutical products. For his stroke prevention system (Cerberus), he was the sole awardee of the Concours Lepine, awarded by the French Minister of Scientific Research (1993).
