Experiencing, hands on, what engineers do at Australia’s largest producer of renewable energy. I spent time with the major works team where I was offsite at the Catagunya Power Station major refurbishment and in the workshop, working with Hydro’s most experienced machinists. In the asset strategy and risk team I also got to experience 8 yearly testing at Tungatinah Power Station.Finally, I spent time in the battery of the nation project analysing the biannual Integrated System Plan of the Australian power system by AEMO and putting together Hydro Tasmania’s response to the draft plan.
