I am a writer, editor, and teacher with twenty-five years of experience teaching at highly selective universities in the U.S. and Canada and an extensive record of publications in print and online. My first novel, Blithedale Canyon, will be published by Regal House in June.I am a contributing editor for Poets & Writers Magazine and a staff writer for the literary website The Millions. My work has also appeared in The New York Times, The Globe and Mail, The National Post, Salon, and The Economist online.I live in Vancouver, BC, wheret I teach at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Before moving to Canada, I taught at Fordham University, American University, University of Richmond, and San Francisco State University.
