During my previous 20 years in the collision industry I worked in dealership and independent shops while teaching Collision Repair in the evening at Wilkes Community College for 17 of those twenty years. Since December 2017 I have been the head of the Collision Repair program for the Career Academy and Technical School in Troutman NC. During my tenure so far, I have taken 5 students to SkillsUSA nationals in the categories of Collision Repair, Automotive Refinishing and Collision Damage Appraisal. I have lead countless students into the industry and remain in contact with many of them throughout their career. I still find satisfaction in teaching someone a skill and trade that will potentially support them and their families and give them a stable career.
