Michael Bowyer is a an all around high angle expert. Working in both commercial and recreational climbing professions for 4 years. In 2011 he received an Associates degree in Sports Management and in 2013 he received a Bachelors degree in Expeditionary Studies with a concentration in rock/ice climbing & sea kayaking. In 2012 he took 2 courses through the International School of Mountaineering receiving training in 2 specialized alpine climbing courses. He is Wilderness First Responder, CPR, AIARE level 1 and S&R certified. Currently he is working his way through the AMGA courses toward an IFMGA license. He has been on 2 major Himalayan climbing expeditions to 4 different peaks ranging from 6000m-8000m. He also has operating experience in several European countries throughout the Alps, Canada and all 48 continental US states. He has been working as a telecommunications climber for the last 13 months and recently began implementing the in house training plans that certify climbers in safety and climbing competency. He is also the founder of Summit Yourself LLC, an international expedition guiding and consulting company which specializes in logistical coordination as well as training and coaching for adventure athletes looking to make their goals a reality.
