Tomingley Gold operations- Underground gold mine- Work in several different mining engineering roles, which include drill and blast engineer/production engineer, weekly scheduler, ventilation engineer. - Create weekly schedules and present it to both management and operations and worked extensively with these parties to ensure schedule is successful and is being met as it is carried out.- Designed both drill plans and explosive charge plans using the mining computer modelling software deswik.- Obtained an understanding of designing for safety- Completed several primary ventilation surveys (required every 3 months). This involved measuring levels of airflow and gasses throughout entire mine and providing engineering solutions for any issue with measured readings.- Completed a year on crew as a tradesman and operator of heavy machinery to obtain an understanding of how an engineer’s design is carried out. - Worked a shift work roster of 7 days on and 7 off (both day shift and night shift).- Obtained an extensive knowledge on safety working in a dangerous industry. Reinforced with further training and future engineering design work.- Improved communication skills with operation and tradesman. Required appropriate communication skills to ensure both engineering designs and safety were carried out correctly.
