Reported directly to the RN/Charge Nurse on dutyAssigned to General or Traumatic Brain Injury ward for the 12-hour night shiftAssignments included taking blood sugars, assisting with bladder scanning, toileting, showering, dressing and assisting patients into and out of bedMonitored patients' skin condition for unknown injuries and skin tears/ulcerationsOvernight duties included intake and output, hourly checks and changes, toileting, monitoring pain and general conditions of patients, taking morning vitals while assisting nurses, and other staff membersAdditional duties included sitting one-on-one to ensure patient's safetyResponsible for completing all required overnight patient documentation.

Reported directly to the RN on duty and to the Director of Nursing, notifying them of any incidents or accidents, while observing strict patient confidentiality practicesDaily duties included assisting assigned residents out of bed, toileting, showering, dressing, personal and oral hygiene and getting them ready for breakfastResidents too heavy or too resistant were assisted with feeding in bedResponsibilities also included tidying up patients' rooms and assisting other staff members with completing their dutiesAdditional responsibilities included putting residents to bed in the afternoon after changing and dressing them, regularly repositioning of those already in bed, ensuring that residents had sufficient fluid intake, and watched over those with special needs.
