The "inciting incident" is the anthropological discovery - by Dr. Steven Atticus - of the 1,000-year-old corpse of a Viking priest: a vampire. When Harrison Van Gilter - a psychopathic present-day descendant and transgenic predator - claims Panama City, Florida as his new hunting ground, law enforcement - the FBI and PCPD - find themselves facing a serial killer like none other.
