I lead project planning, budgeting, and scope implementation for environmental investigation and remediation sites. These sites include pharmaceutical, industrial dye, and chemical manufacturing facilities, as well as metals refineries, waste storage sites, and former manufactured gas plants. As part of these activities, I prepare detailed work plans and cost estimates for project budgets ranging from $50,000 to >$250,000. Some notable accomplishments include: Program coordinator for groundwater remedial performance monitoring activities at a major EPA Superfund Site in southern New Jersey. I developed an innovative drilling program to save a client critical time and over $100,000 ahead of a major regulatory deadline. I completed a comparative cost-volume analyses to negotiate reduced rates with laboratory contractor. Revised a contractor’s sampling program reducing costs 20% by eliminating protocols that were incurring unnecessary fees.

As an environmental specialist, I took the lead in executing investigation workplans at cleanup sites throughout New Jersey. Additionally, I oversaw contractors at two major EPA Superfund Sites to ensure work was being completed to specification and on budget. During this period I gained expertise in several soil and ground water sampling techniques as well as environmental drilling methodologies. In an effort to maintain high quality performance I supplemented my field experience with over 120 hours of professional development coursework. Some notable accomplishments include: I initiated and developed a long term equipment plan at an EPA cleanup site which resulted in decreasing costs by 30% per sampling event. I helped streamline and improved contractor sampling protocols to increase efficiency by up to 50% while maintaining regulatory compliance.  I provided direction and accelerated contractor field activities during a critical work phase resulting in on time completion. This achievement contributed to being named Employee of the Year.

Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania

I conducted environmental monitoring of private water wells in proximity to natural gas drilling locations in northeastern Pennsylvania during the Marcellus Shale boom. The purpose of the program was to establish baseline water quality conditions prior to drilling operations. My role expanded to include stray gas investigations and I helped develop several sampling techniques to evaluate methane intrusion into water wells and homes. As drilling activity escalated in late 2009, I helped recruit and train a team to meet the additional demand. By the summer of 2010 I was coordinating the day to day activities of up to 11 staff across three counties in northeastern Pennsylvania. To keep pace with drilling activity, our team's work often required extended stays in remote areas under demanding conditions. As team leader, I worked aggressively to promote team unity and morale during these long assignments.
