Primary responsibilities include the administration and monitoring of Cleveland Clinic’s enterprise network DMZ security infrastructure, including managing multiple service provider BGP-peered internet connections; Cisco ASA and Checkpoint firewalls; Cisco IOS router and ASA based Site-to-Site VPN tunnels for wholly- owned remote sites, independent community physician offices and 3rd party vendor connectivity; Cisco ASA based IPSEC and SSL client (remote access) VPN tunnels; and multiple-appliance Cisco Intrusion Prevention Systems. Recently, completed the successful migration and relocation of our single primary enterprise DMZ to a fully redundant, active-active DMZ pair in a new datacenter facility.Designed and implemented the secure mobile network for Ohio’s first Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit and designed and implemented the secure mobile network for Cleveland Clinic’s School-Based Healthcare initiative.Additional security responsibilities include network-level administration of large Websense content- filtering appliance installation; integrating DMZ and enterprise network devices with a QRadar SIEM for event correlation and forensics; working in concert with the IT Security team to define and implement PCI, web- filter, firewall, IPS, FireEye anti-malware and general network security policies; and researching, designing, and recommending new network and security technology upgrades to upper management.Additional network duties include working both independently and in multiple teams to support the general configuration, maintenance and monitoring of the Cleveland Clinic network infrastructure; configuring OSPF and BGP routing on Cisco ASR and ISR routers, and switching on 3750, 4500, 4900, 6500 and Nexus 1000v, 5k and 7k series layer 3 switches; maintaining router and switch configuration templates for field engineers; content load balancing using Cisco ACE appliances and service modules; and managing a Cisco LWAPP enterprise wireless environment.
