I assist members who have questions on claims. providers, notifications and answer questions about their deductible and reading and helping members understand their benefits. I also speak with providers advising them on if claims didn’t process correctly or trying to collaborate with them to schedule appointments for members who aren’t able to do so themselves. I field 50-70 calls per day as this is a higher paced job and each call can present a different task to handle, and it would need to be handled in an adequate manner.At United Health group, members can opt in for surveys on the call that they take which shows how much the representative helped them during the call. I received several of these and it was a great morale booster.One other way members can show their appreciation for me is called “Kudos”. Where the member can ask to speak with a supervisor and tell them how much I helped on the phone call. A site wide email gets sent out and other colleagues see that recognition.
