In my role at GE Digital I was part of a platform team responsible for delivering highly available data services and a container runtime. I designed and implemented Terraform automation that deployed and managed our Chef based services on AWS, AWS GovCloud, VMWare, and Azure. This included a CI/CD pipeline built on Jenkins and configured using Chef that managed our entire Chef code base and each Chef based Service. On the GovCloud version of the service, I implemented FISMA and Export Control compliance requirements. I also worked on the design and implantation of a bare metal Kubernetes based private cloud solution. I wrote the terraform and ansible automation that deployed and configured the base OS and network layer on which the Kubernetes components ran. During the early phases of this private cloud project, I worked closely with engineers of our first customer for this product to help design something that served their needs from their ground up.

At Ion I wrote the network interface that controlled data coming from deployed sensors and relayed it to different QA and data recording software components. I also acted as a system admin for a large amount of their manufacturing floor computers. I was responsible for overseeing multiple fields tests of hardware and software, coordinating with customers in both domestic and international locations. I eventually worked on improving the configuration management of systems in the field and in-house using modern scripting and Chef.Based my experiences in the field and working with the crews that used our hardware and software. I undertook a project to update legacy systems. This included the sourcing of new hardware, writing new software and configurations to bring software in line with new hardware and the building and testing of prototypes of the new system.

Experience: Worked on a project to visual GIS data in Google Earth. Wrote a Java server application capable of handling requests from Google Earth and presenting relevant visual data in response to the request.
