Michael has a Mechanical Engineering Degree and an MBA. Both qualifications are from the University of Melbourne. He also has a Commercial Aviation Pilot Licence and an Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance. He is currently a Principal Consultant at DXC Technology providing advice to large clients in government and industry on the strategic use of analytics and analytics tools . He was previously the Principal Consultant of his own consulting company providing strategic, project management and IT advice to clients in government and industry. Michael began his career as an engineer with Shell Australia, initially working on a number of upstream and downstream oil and gas projects, and eventually becoming Shell’s Regional Manager for North Western Australia. He then worked as a Senior Manager with Accenture providing business consulting and IT advice to domestic and international clients across a variety of industries, including oil and gas, aviation, manufacturing, banking and finance, telecommunications, and retail.For the last 20+ years he has been engaged either as a management consultant or as a project/program manager providing management and IT expertise to high profile clients, including the Australian and State Governments, Telstra, ANZ Bank, AusNet Services, AIG, Energy Australia, GE, and the Aviation industry. His key achievements have been the delivery of complex strategic and technical solutions within large organisations. He has managed adversarial parties within these organisations to negotiate solutions that satisfy a range of stakeholder requirements. He has also shown leadership by bringing together previously disparate and dysfunctional teams to enable delivery of complex technical solutions. He looks forward to any management challenge that engages his people and leadership skills, his knowledge and experience, and enables the delivery of solutions that satisfy an organisation’s strategic and technical requirements.
