 Direct (5) shelf merchandising specialists that draw 1,700 bread and pastry planograms for the following banners: Hannaford, Sweetbay, Food Lion, Harvey’s, Reid’s, and Bottom Dollar Foods. Ensure on-shelf category assortment presentation and allocation reflects the unique needs of the relevant market and aligns with the role for each banner. Ensure shelf presentation and planogram components of the category is reviewed and executed in accordance with the banner role based on strategic plan and standard practice guidelines. Provide off-shelf merchandising recommendations to banner merchandising teams in support of the banner ad themes and strategies. Guide development of best practice shelf placement principles, planogram production, versioning, and evaluate the effectiveness of the merchandising tactics. Review and analyze both internal scan data and syndicated IRI data to identify specific market trends and opportunities within the category.  Collaborate with the Category Manager to ensure sales, margin, and share targets are met for each banner.

 Develop Item Specific Planograms for the Commercial Bakery Category for Hannaford and Sweetbay banners using JDA space planning. Build and analyze specialized sales reports to assist the Category Manager in important business decisions for Hannaford and Sweetbay banners. Reset team leader at new Store openings, remodels, and annual Commercial Bakery resets. Design and recommend new merchandising philosophies to the Category Manager based on market needs. Commercial Bakery Category Team Captain for the Sweetbay banner. Work closely with vendor partners to ensure timely deadlines are met. Make recommendations to the Category Manager that will ensure planogram integrity and category profitability.

 Provide daily management, scheduling, and supervision for Route Sales Reps (10-16), Merchandisers, and Shippers. Manage Key Performance Indicators for net revenue management, stale returns, and safety. Demonstrate leadership, team building and conflict resolution for immediate employee group. Obtain new business by calling on key decision makers at retailers. Ensure implementation of Company sales and marketing strategies.

 Distribute and merchandise wholesale bakery products through the DSD channel. Gain market awareness and develop customer service skills. Maintain consistent, annual sales growth.
