I am currently part of Epic's consultant division called "Boost". I work very closely with hospital organizations on a wide variety of projects including Upgrades, Go-lives and Mergers as well as complex technical optimizations. For 4 years prior to joining the Boost team at Epic I worked as an Inpatient Orders Technical Services Representative (TS) and, for 3 years as a Technical Coordinator (TC). As a TS I worked primarily with 2 different children’s hospitals supporting them through a go-live and multiple upgrades. I’ve led my organizations through enhancement implementations and integrated workflow changes including ADT Orders, OpTime go-live, HOV utilization and hospital-wide printing initiatives. I’ve also worked with physicians and nurses as a technical resource and helped guide major workflow decisions. As a TC I managed the technical side of an Enterprise go-live at an academic medical center including the hardware assessment and the Technical Dress Rehearsal prior to go-live. I’ve led many other major projects as TC including two major version upgrades, ICD-10 conversion, add on Application installs, and a major revenue location facility restructuring. I’ve managed a large team of enterprise application TS and I am very comfortable working with the C-suite executives and project directors at an organization. I was employed in the Nuerobiology and Anatomy Machine shop working under Mr. Martin Gira. Here, we designed and built many instruments, devices and programs for research laboratories in the department. My specific role began as an assembler of the circuitry designed by Martin where I was given schematics and asked to build them as depicted. As I began to show a high level of competence, I began contributing to the actual design of the projects. Much of this included software development on PIC microcontrollers designed to interface with larger integrated circuits. I had much success in the Nuerobiology and Anatomy Shop and had only to leave due to my ineligibility as a graduate from the University of Rochester.

Handled Research Macaques in their housing and research environment. Conducted Neurophysiology Research on macaques under the supervision of the Principle Investigator and handled data by writing statistical analysis programs on Matlab and Excel.
