I am passionate about all things electronics and manufacturing, and derive great enjoyment from seeing a project go from concept to product. In my free time, I enjoy designing electronic solutions to the problems I experience in my day-to-day life, as well as producing a range of retro clocks with my company, NIX Labs. I have a great appreciation for quality design and like to take apart industrial and commercial products in an effort to gain insight into both 'good' and 'bad' designs. With the right tools available, I also find pleasure in woodworking, and outside of my home design office, I may be found enjoying a walk in a rainforest or state park.I have experience in electronics design, testing and assembly for both personal and commercial projects. My home design lab supports advanced electronic hardware and firmware design, SMD assembly, testing and measurement. My soldering and rework skills are IPC certified and I have experience with a wide range of test equipment including programming LabVIEW software for measurement automation.
