Co-ordinating a team comprising the key process owners across National Grid to connect renewable biomethane sources to National Grid’s gas distribution network. Key customer contact from initial enquiry through to project construction and operation. Close liaison with stakeholder delivery, land and development and consents. Responsible for ensuring that sustainable gas projects are delivered to timescales, scope and budget that meets customer requirements.

Client representative across multiple construction sites.Responsibilities include;To ensure that the site based construction activities across National Grid are efficiently managed in accordance with National Grid policies and procedures.Project and programme management, ensuring project delivery to time, scope, cost and quality. Including contract management (i.e. FIDIC, AAA and NEC).Ensure that the Principal Contractor (PC) is pro-active in discharging duties under the CDM regulations, not least in managing all safety aspects of the construction based activities. Coordination and monitoring of contractors on site including reviewing the suitability of Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Sensible monitoring of site construction activities. Review the deliverability of the PC Site Delivery Programmes and proactively monitor all activities. Chair regular (weekly) Site Progress Meetings.Assist National Grid‟s Commissioning Engineer to review and confirm that the PC Commissioning programme is acceptable from a delivery perspective.

Responsibilities include;Create a ‘cost effective, fit for purpose to meet the output’ solutions for the electricity transmission network, balancing cost/risk and program requirements.Provide regular project monthly status reports which will include: SHE performance, milestone progress, risk management and current and forecast financial performance.Coordinate CDMC for each project as required under CDM RegulationsManage all third party issues, land, consents, grantors, public relations andCommunity Stakeholders to preserve National Grid reputation during development and designphases.Ensure ‘constructability’ / ‘safety by design’ is inherent in proposals and develop deliverableprogrammes and project feasibility assessments.Produce investment and delivery options to enable innovative solutions to deliveryof capital projects on time and optimise the delivery of a wide range of work in a geographical area.Produce detailed scope, optioneering, type registration, drawings, risk mitigation, and technical assurance checks and cost estimate for the Construction Manager to implement on site.Undertake site surveys, consenting and condition surveys as part of the development process to ensure safety by design, optioneering and timely replacement actions.Assist with the management of SHE through appropriate life cycle designs that minimize risks topersonnel and property.
