LEAP helps local residents save energy and money, providing free impartial advice on insulation, draught proofing, heating, renewable energy generation, grants and subsidies.I researched support available to householders from Energy Saving Trust, helped with training of staff and assisted with funding applications. I also compiled a Social Return on Investment Report to help shape strategy and strengthening future funding bids.

The Energy Agency is a registered charity promoting energy efficiency awareness and renewable energy in domestic, community and business sectors throughout South West Scotland.I was responsible for project management of Area Based Energy Efficiency Schemes utilising Scottish Government, Local Authority and Utility Company funds to improve the energy efficiency of households and reduce fuel poverty.My achievement of a successful outcome was recognised by five major Awards: Energy Action Scotland, Energy Savers Award, 2007;
 National Energy Efficiency Award, 2007; 
Ashden Award, 2008; European Commission, Managenergy Award, 2010; powerPerfector Award, 2012The success of the model I developed for community engagement led to invitations to manage other schemes. As a result, project budgets increased from £250k in year one to £6.5m in year seven.

Manufacturer of industrial refractories for the steel industry.I was responsible for the introduction and maintenance of Quality Systems and the management and development of a team of seven.My achievements included:
Attained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality and Environmental Certification; introduced Training Needs Analysis, Appraisals and Leadership Profiling culminating in Investors in People;
developed and introduced a performance improvement award system that increased profits by £300k; facilitated cultural change; introduced new computerised systems for document control and data capture.During my time at RHI Refractories, I was the Chairman of Scottish Business in the Community for West Dunbartonshire and the private sector representative on the Community Planning Partnership Board.

I held two different Quality Management roles during my time at this sanitaryware manufacturer.As Supplier Quality Assurance Manager, I had responsibility for monitoring quality performance of all suppliers representing a total spend of £20m, with the objectives of improving product quality and the introduction of Total Quality.Achievements included:
Co-ordinated and implemented a Supplier Appraisal Scheme and Supplier Selection and Development Programme; established and led customer/supplier improvement workshops; was one of 30 trained facilitators in a workforce of 1250, actively supporting the introduction of a Total Quality initiative.As Quality Improvement Manager, I focused on customers, working closely with Sales and Marketing to communicate improvement opportunities to Product Development and Manufacturing departments.My achievements included:
