Dr Michael Chan has 31 years of high level experience in Design and Development management.Being an expert in Architectural practice from the National University of Singapore since 1983 he has also achieved a Master of Arhitecture from the Architectural Association in London. After his registeration with Royal Institute of Architects London between 1988 to 2006 he has practiced in seven different cities such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia),Bali (Indonesia),Hong Kong,Guang Zhou, Auckland (New Zealand), Suva City (Fiji Islands) before coming to Dubai.He has had the opportunities to work with world class architecture practices as well as developers and has also achieved through many years of research and accomplished his Masters in Project Management and Doctorate in Architecture under University of Texas,USA between 2003 till 2006. He has majored in master planning,project financial advisory as well as design management expertise which has contributed positively to the major projects he has executed successfully both overseas & in Middle-East.In 2006, he was invited by Mace Group ,an International Project Management firm to work in Dubai for some of the most established Developers i.e.for projects such as The Reserve - Al Barari project for Zaal Group & Mudon Project for Dubai Properties & Sheraton Hotel - Mall of Emirates, IBIS & Suite Hotel – Sheikh Zayed Road for Majid Al Futtaim,City of Lights for Tamouh, Fairmont Hotel on the Palm Jumeirah for IFA(Int’l Financial Advisor of Kuwait)Hotels & Resort Group. Since the recession in 2008 he has also explored other avenues in building construction recently in 2013 executed the Design & Build contract whilst with China State Construction Engineering Corporation , The Viceroy Hotel on trunk of Palm Jumeirah and Skai Suites at Jumeirah Village for Skai Holdings LLC Dubai.Since 2013 he initiated a Project Management team to service overseas investors in Dubai, mainly from China like the Honest Group.
