Teach a course on “The Business of Political Campaigning”

Worked on a two person team that managed relations on behalf of Executive Constantine with constituent and community organizations within King County. Worked with the intergovernmental affairs, communications, and policy teams on major countywide initiativesRepresented and staffed the Executive at community and political events. Identified and recommended for the Executive qualified community members for King County boards and commissions. Coordinated all administrative and relational aspects of the Safe Energy Leadership Alliance, a regional alliance against coal and oil transportation safety, consisting of over 175 local, state and tribal elected officials.

Coordinated and oversaw all administrative aspects of the city wide Seattle City Council general election campaign. Created and managed daily schedule. Managed relationships with community members and candidate for election related issues. Wrote drafts for endorsement interviews Recruited volunteers for door knocking and making phone calls. Maintained volunteer/donor/email databases. Created and implemented a field plan that included outreach plans into communities of color, identifying key neighborhood locations and persons to make contact with.

The Building the Future Campaign was Seattle Goodwill's first-ever capital campaign effort to raise funds for a new building in downtown Seattle and to help expand job training programsSuccessfully fundraised in coordination with volunteer and staff approximately $900,000 for the Capital Campaign.

Worked with the division director to analyze impact of policies on the homelessness providers and the populations they served. Coordinated efforts to ensure the successful operation of the severe weather shelters and other miscellaneous tasks throughout the division.

Discussed and analyzed a variety of issues pertaining to race and social justice in a classroom setting with multiple members of prominent community organizations doing race and social justice work around Seattle

Trained and managed a large cadre of volunteers focused on getting Senator Obama elected.Maintained relationships with various city/state/party officials.Developed and executed strategic plans to increase voter registration and turnout.
