I am Co-Chair of the corporate and commercial law practice group at Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am also a member of the firm's Management Committee.I practice business law, with an emphasis on the following areas:-banking and financial services, which primarily involves advising financial institutions on secured debt financing transactions;-real estate and development, which primarily involves advising on acquisitions and divestitures, leasing matters and financing matters;-securities law; and-private equity financing.I frequently act as Manitoba counsel for law firms and businesses located in other jurisdictions. As a result, I am often consulted on matters concerning Manitoba limited partnerships and legal opinions.
