Michael Claypool has over 20 years in the public safety and 12 years in air ambulance executive management. His professional career started where he worked as as a sworn law enforcement officer for ten years, got certified as an Emergency Medical Technician, fixed-wing flight medic, and Executive Director of Operations for a large fixed-wing air ambulance company. He also was a lead Project Manager with Gale Healthcare Solutions. He witnessed firsthand how people going through extreme stressful situations were faced with having to make immediate and costly decisions for coordinating air medical transport. He learned this type of coordination was a time-consuming task for many healthcare professionals. Mike, with his entrepreneurial mind set, branched off and founded started EMS Air, where he successfully connected hundreds of healthcare professionals and families with the best type of air medical transport to fit their needs and budget.Mike didn’t stop there. He envisioned a better way to help people. A better way to give patients, family members and healthcare providers a one-stop shop for air ambulance coordination. This is how MedViation was born. Mike is currently the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of MedViation and still holds a deep passion for helping people in need.
