Why do I need to learn this?As a science teacher, I was often asked this question. Then I changed the way I taught. I applied industry leading practices to enhance learner motivation and achievement by creating experiential learning units for students. While content was framed in a fun and engaging matter, data collection played an important role in learning outcomes. I developed systems of formal and informal assessment to guide learning and encourage a growth mindset.During the Covid-19 restrictions of the 2020-2021 school year, I created self-paced learning modules on a learning management system. I used a variety of other tech tools such as iMovie for instructional videos, Google Suite for collaboration, Zoom for students at home, and Bitmoji to make directions fun! Now, I am following my passion as an instructional designer.I want to join a team that fosters creativity, shows compassion for the community, and is an industry leader.
