I currently work as a Renovation Superintendent for Zillow where I am responsible for full-cycle oversight of property rehabs and turnover efforts including project scoping, project budgeting, budget compliance, change order management, project coordination, and project quality control. I began at Zillow as a Renovation Estimator and was moved into the Superintendent position within months.The following is a brief history of my working life prior to Zillow.After receiving an honorable discharge from the US Army, I became a concrete finisher in the mid-west. I relocated to the Atlanta Georgia area where I opened and operated my own concrete flatwork company that specialized in stamping, polishing, and all decorative finishes. Over the years we had grown to a 43-man company and were building large shops and small homes from the ground up. During this time, I enhanced my personnel management skills as well as developed the ability to organize and manage all the trades required in order to complete full structure building. During this time, we handled all of the decorative concrete finishes at the Georgia Aquarium, all of the decorative finishes at the Gulf Stream Horse Race Park in Hallandale Beach Fl. We also received several 1st place awards from the American Concrete Institute for the aforementioned projects.In 2010 I became a licensed insurance adjuster and operated out of the state of Arizona where I serviced daily claims for the residential industry. I was a subcontractor which allowed me to service many insurance carriers. I did this until 2019.When I stopped traveling for the insurance industry I worked as a subcontractor for a home remodeling company where I operated in all facets of the remodeling process. I might be a plumber for several days, a frame carpenter, electrician, trim carpenter, or any trade needed at the time. I personally handled all framing and exterior deck work for the company. While on these projects I also acted as the onsite contact person for other trades as well as homeowner questions.
