With over 11 years experience in the professional post production industry, I have gained a wide variety of skills, knowledge and understanding. There are two core parts to the services I can offer.1) Motion Graphic Designer working on Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 including After Effects, Premiere and Encore. Typical projects include TV commercials, Corporate & Informative Videos, Visual Effects, Titles and Captioning, DVD & Bluray authoring2) Post Production Supervisor, specialising in the "back end" of commercial production - Captioning / Versioning, Clocking, Digital Transmission copies and file encoding for clearance. I'm experienced in a project management role and count teamwork and communication as two of my key qualities.I'm very effective in client-facing situations and I can comfortably integrate into your office / studio environment or I can work remotely. I performed a senior role in the management & execution of creative projects for a wide range of clients and businesses. I worked with advertising agencies, television production companies and provided direct business to business solutions. Our primary creative output was TV and Radio commercials, Corporate and Informative Films and Computer Graphics & Visual Effects. My responsibilities were focussed mainly in two areas: firstly the organisation and management of a small team of creative professionals including Video Editors, Audio Engineers, 3D & 2D graphics specialists and Post Production Assistants. Secondly as a respected and trusted point of contact for all clients, providing a “script to screen solution” which included project management and scheduling, quotes and invoicing, sourcing & coordinating external suppliers, and ensuring deadlines were successfully met with high quality, punctual delivery. I’ve also been responsible for the Quality Assessment of the work of my team, which demonstrates a keen eye for detail and commitment to client satisfaction.I believe I developed strong organisational and administrative skills and a fine reputation in the local post production industry during my time in this role. I provided excellent communication and inter-personal assets, a solid sense of organisation and structure while encouraging a relaxed and friendly working atmosphere in what is often a busy and stressful environment. I’ve been responsible for all aspects of the post production business over the past 2 years, successfully delegating roles and tasks where appropriate to assist the development of my colleagues, whilst confidently overseeing the transition and re-launch of the business in September 2010. I have also managed to maintain a creative role in the background, regularly continuing to work with valued clients on repeat projects, which has led to me developing a finely tuned sense of time management.

As above, but in a different business structure where post production was a department in a larger cross-platform multimedia company that encompassed Video and Interactive Games and Web Services. I was promoted in 2009 after providing strong support and assistance to the previous PPM and proving myself to be the best candidate for the job. I confidently grew into the role and successfully managed the post production department which remained profitable, while the other areas of the business struggled due to the economic recession.

The core responsibilities in this highly creative role were the design and manipulation of motion graphics content using the Adobe Creative Suite software, with my key strengths being in the television advertising arena. I developed a strong rapport and reputation with most of our clients and regularly worked one-on-one with senior representatives of most of the North East’s leading advertising and creative agencies. My work was regularly aired on ITV, Channel 4, FIVE and Sky as well as several overseas channels in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. I also developed vital skills in most other areas of the business including DVD authoring, video transfer & encoding and often proved myself a valuable point of contact, support and knowledge for my colleagues. I regularly checked their work and made myself responsible for ensuring our projects satisfied all of the legalities and technical specifications required in the advertising industry. My sense of humour and willingness to contribute in other areas also led to opportunities in the audio department and I was delighted to lend my voice to several successful and well-known advertising and sponsorship campaigns. I believe this demonstrates my commitment to making myself an integral part of a business.
