Lead Scientist in Quality Control CMC support working with autologous CAR T-cell products. I have an extensive background in biological assays and processes and an excellent understanding of cell biology and immunology. I am responsible for the leading of cross functional teams to execute analytical procedure development, validation and implementation into the QC Operations laboratories. I lead the transfer of analytical methods from Process/Analytical Development to QC (internal or external) and subsequent qualification and validation activities, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for QC analytical methods / techniques and quality events. I author analytical protocols and reports, and regulatory documentation, and lead the implementation of quality systems required for QC.My background consists of extensive Project Leader experience with a demonstrated history of working in the research industry leading multiple technical projects. I hold a strong passion for science and pharmaceutical development employing a range of laboratory skills, as well as leading, monitoring and managing scientific and technical projects from proof of concept stage through to feasibility, optimisation and release. I have proven experience with immunoassay development, rapid diagnostic assays for NTDs and other diseases, biological assays, PCR, molecular biology, ELISA, flow cytometry and cell culture. Strong educational professional with a Bachelor’s Degree focused in Biomedical Science from University of Lincoln. Always willing to learn and develop to further my professional development as well as supporting the growth of those around me. My hobbies include a thorough passion for fitness activities, reading (scientific material and recreational, self-taught guitar player, cooking, and travelling.
