For my industrial placement and after graduating I worked in Kent stainless designing a suite of web based KPI’s and automatic reporting tools for efficient management of each business sector within the company. The visual management system is a project envisioned by the company to completely reform how it is managed moving away from excel spreadsheets and lists of SAP data to dynamic visual reporting interfaces highlighting urgent actions or illustrating capacity and throughput to more easily to identify and preempt any upcoming bottlenecks whichever business sector they may occur to meet promise date targets with our customers.My roles involvedWorking closely with the operations manger that generally oversees the entire project.Working with managers and employees in business sectors such as engineering, supply chain management production, material acquisition etc to identify key identifiers and information that they use in their day to day decision making so that the reporting tools are able to automatically highlight and identify key action items that require attention so that problematic items are spotted and rectified much easier and more conveniently.Designing and Planning the layout of the visual interface and implementing it using the web development stack html css php and JavaScript. SQL is used to query all information from the on site SAP database.This is an ongoing project and I’m am currently acting as a on call support technician and consultant assisting the current employee continuing work on the system

Youthscene is a show on South East Radio made up of young individuals with an interest in radio Broadcasting who volunteer their time on Saturdays to produce a youth related show to go out on Air Every Tuesday. My job as the Sound Technician is to operate the recording studio and engineer the show, Ensure the show is Compliant to BAI regulations and submit details to the Irish Music Rights Association.
