During my Chemical Engineering degree, I participated in a privately-funded research project at the University of Auckland's Light Metal Research Centre.The project was focused on novel methods of surface preparation, with the aim of reliably producing bacteria-resistant surfaces. While results were inconclusive, the experience was very rewarding, and I produced a high-quality literature review which provides crucial information to future work in the same field.
