Second Mate on the Overseas Key West. Stand and manage bridge duties per SMS and Standing Orders. Maintain equipment, voyage, and route planning. Stand Cargo watches per SMS and Standing Orders. Maintain atmospheric equipment. Assist and train junior officers. Assist, Shadow and Learn from Chief Mate and Master.

Third Mate (Medical Officer) in OSG Tanker fleet. Currently assigned to the Overseas Martinez. 2nd mate unlimited license. Stand Bridge and cargo watch. Safety inspections, test and maintain navigational equipment. Inventory Medical equipment and supplies.

Third Mate (Radio Officer) in OSG Tanker fleet. Currently assigned to the Overseas Nikiski. 2nd mate unlimited license. Stand Bridge and cargo watch. Safety inspections, test and maintain navigational and GMDSS equipment.

Second Mate on the OSG Courageous/244Duties include, complying with company’s MS requirements,standing a wheelhouse watch, supervise cargo operations, inspect and maintain environmental and safety equipment on tug, complete tour of duty, maintain charts and nautical publications.

I have passed all coast guard testing and have acquired all endorsements necessary for third mate unlimited. I do have a 2000 GRT restriction. This should be lifted after a year of sea service as a mate. My current company, OSG, has accepted my application to become a third mate trainee. I look forward to learning the ropes of an officer and excited to expand my experience in the industry.

I am an experienced deck hand on sea going tug and barges. I do ordinary maintenance, sanitary, cargo operations and stand watches in the wheel house. Move product from ports in the Gulf of Mexico to different ports all along east coast of the United States. I have been apart of two shipyard periods for two different vessels. I have worked on multiple vessels in the fleet including; The Navigator, The Endurance, The Enterprise, The Independence, The Vision, The Horizon, and The Courageous.

Started as a dough boy progressed to head pizza maker. Transferred over to sauté as su chef and eventually became head chef. Became store manager by taking on more responsibilities in the restaurant including; inventory, stock and prep, scheduling, catering, and employment.
