Electrical Engineering,Sr.
CurrentTask / Technical Lead:Naval Aviation Task Lead:Mr. Comparetto provided technical management and expertise leading the MITRE’s communication work for the MQ-4C Triton UAS and E-2D Hawkeye projects. He was responsible for engaging with customers to grow and shape impactful work. He helped customers determine their mission critical needs and enabled them to solve these needs. CBP DE RF Use Case Study:Mr. Comparetto was the RF comms technical lead for the CBP Digital Engineering (DE) use case study providing technical leadership for the RF M&S analysis and tool integration for the CPB DE tool. His responsibilities leading the efforts to select and RF analysis tool to perform LMR, MESH analyses; developing scripts to automate the RF analysis; and to integrate the RF analysis tool with a GIS and Costing tool.Technical Contributor:MITRE C4I Test Range Initiative:Mr. Comparetto performed systems engineering / M&S analysis for the MITRE C4I Test Range initiative. Used STK, MATLAB, a Spirent channel emulator, and SATCOM modems to simulate a LEO backhaul network. Demonstrated in the field the capability of integrating SATCOM (Starlink), MESH, and cellular networks to pass tactical data (sensor data, Radar, full motion video) between these geo-dispersed networks (sensor / radio equipment was in multiple locations in VA as well as FL). Unattended Ground Sensor (UGS) System Analysis:Mr. Comparetto provided technical expertise and leadership in building a system to process / fuse sensor data from multiple unattended ground sensors (UGS) so that it could be displayed in a common operating picture (COP). He assisted in setting up a lab environment to simulate UGS sensors sending data in real time to the COP. He also helped lead field testing / data collections of UGS sensors systems emulating real-world scenarios.
