Finish Line Physical Therapy is a private outpatient clinic that utilizes a personal, functional approach to rehabilitation, injury prevention and performance enhancement. Rather than isolating individual joints or muscles, our treatment plans cover the body as a whole. With over 7,000 square feet of space and the most advanced treatment equipment available, Finish Line PT is able to help athletes of all levels recover from injury. After assessing your unique condition, we will build a customized functional rehabilitation program tailored to your specific needs. We use a variety of tools to help you, including Applied Functional Science, Active Release Techniques, the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill, Kinesio Taping and more. We believe recovery works best when our patients feel comfortable and cared for, so we provide extensive one-to-one patient to therapist interaction.

  Michael founded Finish Line Physical Therapy in 2006 to provide the highest quality of care, service and personal attention available in a comfortable, supportive and friendly atmosphere. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Hogeschool Enschede in the Netherlands, and has been a New York State licensed Physical Therapist since 1997. Michael is a certified Active Release Techniques (ART) ® provider, is certified in Functional Manual Reaction (FMR) and is recognized as a Fellow of Applied Functional Science (FAFS).Michael is also an avid marathoner and triathlete, and is passionate about endurance sports as both a participant and a coach. He has run more than 20 marathons in cities such as New York, Boston, Chicago, London, Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Diego and Anchorage. He has also completed the Lake Placid Ironman three times, and has been a member of New York Road Runners since 1998. He has competed in countless running events and triathlons, both at Olympic and half-Ironman distances. He has also served as a coach for the NYC chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma's Team in Training program since 2002. He has trained hundreds of runners, from beginners to advanced marathoners. Michael's valuable advice and expertise has helped countless runners prevent or overcome injuries, allowing them to reach their goals of completing half or full marathon distances. His experience as an accomplished athlete and coach gives him a unique perspective and understanding of how to provide the best care and personal attention for both the competitive and recreational athlete.
