• Work in crews that install and maintain wastewater manholes, and makes minor repairs as directed installs clean-out boxes and lids as required.
• Maintains the City’s wastewater collection system in a safe and sanitary manner to ensure safe conditions for the City, including repairing broken wastewater mains and parts.

• Observes safe work methods and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.

• Install, repair and modify the City’s automatic and manual irrigation systems in parks, medians, and recreation areas.
• Identify sprinkler system malfunctions and perform necessary adjustments, repairs or replacement of parts including irrigation lines, valves and sprinkler heads.
• Survey turf and landscaped areas to determine irrigation requirements and program the automated system accordingly
• Operate a variety of tools, devices, and equipment in sprinkler system maintenance including cable fault locators, trenching shovels, and rain bird rotor adjustment tool.
• Work on various irrigation system installation and maintenance projects with City inspectors.
• Work alone or as a member of a maintenance crew in manual labor duties and operating light to medium equipment.
