This is what you might call a long-term strategy...I did the struggling artist thing in my 20s: cartoonist, TV writer, playwright. My work was staged, broadcast or published at the Royal Court Theatre, on BBC and ITV, and by Marvel Comics, 2000AD, The Guardian and TES. And I wrote half a musical with a Beatle.I did the corporate freelancer thing though my 30s: screenwriter, speechwriter, copywriter, creative, director for agencies and corporate clients including VW, Audi, Boots and Canon. I wrote everything from the Carphone Warehouse interactive corporate panto to the first 45 words broadcast on Absolute Radio. I didn’t do the creative agency thing until my 40s: writing, and then strategy, once I found out that was a thing. Now, leading a team exploring big strategic ideas that can make a difference in the moments people interact most closely with brands.
