On top of my duty biochemist role I am responsible for the running and development of the Mass spectrometry section. I am also involved in helping to maintain, update and develop the labs IT support specifically developing and maintaining the LIMS system. I PROVIDE SUPPORT TO the quality control lead and cover for POCT. I have also developed a system for monitoring and displaying quality indicators and EQA in a concise visual manner.I am also involved in a national (ACB) mass spectrometry working group, a national ( ACB) and a European (EFLM) working group for the preanalytical phase and look after the regional website.
