Key member of a process team which is responsible for the development of policies, processes and performance management. Works across the CIO-T Directorate to facilitate a collaborative approach to policy development. Develops Directorate policies; establishes/maintains the policy business model for the Directorate; participates on a team to develop documents, repeatable processes; reviews key policies to assess Directorate-wide impact; develops a portfolio/compendium of all relevant policies (identifying and documenting multiple data points for each policy); develops/manages/maintains extensive spreadsheets on policy content; develops MS Access database to enable discovery and responsiveness to Senior Leadership requirements; and, interfaces with all Group/Offices to ensure a collaborative approach to the policy business model. Manages daily and routine policy matters including the CIO-T Directorate review of all DoD and IC information technology relevant issuances. Ensures compliance for all IG, FISMA and FISCAM notices of findings and recommendations, as well as, ensures that appropriate policies are in place for a successful audit.

Provides support to the development of information technology policies that articulate DoD, DNI, etc. guidance and ensure comportment with the Agency goals and objectives. Conducts research, analysis, review, revision, and coordination of related policies. Facilitates and performs coordination with policy officers and Subject-Matter Experts. Tracks and maintains situational awareness of significant developments in information technology policy issues, including DoD and DNI regulations, guidance, and legislation, and evaluates and communicates their impact. Consistently develops knowledge of and expertise around emerging and complex information technology issues. Produces detailed, written analysis and memos on information technology policy and prepares comments to proposed policies.

Served as a First Sergeant for the Army's first Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System (JLENS) Battery with a developmental and operational testing mission; responsible for the health, welfare and safety of 103 Soldiers and their families; mentored and trained 42 NCOs while maintaining Army standards, discipline and morale; responsible for executing battery's daily administrative and logistical operations; responsible for the maintenance and accountability of all JLENS related equipment and property valued at over $470,000,000.

Fort Bragg, Nc

Served as the First Sergeant of a PAC-3 Capable PATRIOT Air Defense Artillery Battery, assigned to the 108th ADA Brigade with a 96 hour worldwide contingency mission; plans, coordinates, directs, trains, supervises Force Operations, unit level maintenance and management of the PATRIOT Air Defense Systems; responsible for the training, health and welfare of 80 Soldiers and their Families; responsible for the administrative management, conventional and systems maintenance of the PATRIOT System, and 47 pieces of rolling stock, and ancillary equipment valued in excess of $32,000,000.

Kirkuk, Iraq

Served as the Senior Enlisted Military Intelligence Advisor for a 13 Soldier Iraqi Army Transition Team (MiTT) forward deployed to Kirkuk, Iraq. Advised and assisted the S2 Advisor in full spectrum Counter-Insurgency intelligence training for a 3,385 man Iraqi Army (IA) Infantry Brigade with emphasis on target development, actionable intelligence, and IPB. Advised and mentored the Detainee Cell NCO as well as monitoring humane and proper treatment of detainees. Advised S2 on insurgent targeting and served as liaison between Colalition Forces (CF) and IA BDE S2. Specifically provided information to the IA without divulging classified information.

Served as Operations Manager for the 108th ADA Brigade with a 96 hour worldwide contingency mission; Supervised on the job education and training for new employees. Responsible and accountable for over $2,500,000 worth of property and inventory. Monitored staff development and process improvement for department with over 600 employees. Planned, advised and implemented new ideas, procedures, methods or approaches of substantial scope in areas of productivity. Performed team building to significantly improved readiness within the organization.

Served as Platoon Sergeant for MANPADS Stinger and Avenger platoon responsible for providing Low Altitude Short Range Air Defense for a critical PATRIOT Air Defense Battalion with NATO and world-wide contingency missions. Provided effective leadership and instruction to incoming soldiers on the Stinger missile systems technical capabilities, its employment and the tactical deployment of the Air Defense System. Maintained accountability and maintainability of Stinger and Avenger vehicle and weapon systems. Directly responsible for the health, moral, welfare, counseling, and saftey of 20 Soldiers and Noncommissioned Officers. Also responsible for equipment valued in excess of $2,000,000.

Served as Senior Drill Sergeant responsible for the discipline, physical training, moral, welfare, counseling, and safety of over 300 soldiers in an Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Advanced Individual Training (AIT) unit throughout three separate phases of training; conducts and evaluates training on 40 command military tasks; Directly responsible for the health, moral, welfare, counseling, and saftey of 7 Drill Sergeants; also responsible for equipment valued in excess of $400,000.

Qualified and trained on Force Protection and Quick Reaction Force. During deployment addressed a broad range of Force Protection issues for the Security Operations Center that formed the nerve center for the Eastern Province of Turkey. Passed critical information from Headquarters to two remote sites in Turkey and Israel. Sent weekly status reports to the Operation Forces Central Command in Qatar via satellite communications, improving the security of military and civilian personnel in a high threat area of the world.
