Born in Singapore, raised in the UK, he graduated with a BA in Design from Portsmouth College of Art. After leaving college he moved to Southern California and worked for a number of creative agencies in Los Angeles. Later he took the role of Creative Director of 3D at branding agency Wolff Olins, where he remained for 7 years. In 2010 he established MCVI with his business partner Six Wu. Together they have designed major projects for a diverse range of international clients, including Tata/Docomo in India, Mobily in Saudi Arabia, AT&T in Mexico, Kaplankaya in Turkey and Sprint/Boost in the USA. Other projects include an Italian “gelateria” start-up in London, a hospital in France and new retail concept for a start-up selling CBD products, also in the USA. As well as brand-based commercial projects with large scale roll-outs, Michael also has a passion for residential architectural projects. For a number of years, both Michael and partner Six, have frequently collaborated with their ex-colleagues and friends at Pentagram when their particular skill-sets and knowledge are required. Outside of work, he is an enthusiastic fan of Celtic Football Club and enjoys cycling over Dartmoor.
