Special Events Manager
As Special Events Manager at Tricks Gymnastics my job was to run all birthday parties, date nights, and any other community events for the Folsom location. I had to facilitate staffing of all events, train and selection of new employees, and plan and run refresher training events for my staff at regular intervals. Furthermore, I had to interact with clients regularly, through follow up emails, phone calls, and of course face to face interaction to ensure that all the clients needs were met at their event, as well as to handle any questions they have with respect to their event. As a mentor at Tricks Folsom it was my responsibility to oversee between 4 and 7 of the coaches at the company. I would track their progress, and ensure that they were meeting all necessary requirements emposed by the company. I would attend monthly meetings with the managers and owners of Tricks and give reports on my employees. At these meetings Mentors would also report on their own progress and activities for the month. Mentors would also generally oversee and conduct some portion of the monthly staff meeting, including short presentations, trainings, and staff recognition.

During my time as a coach at Tricks I taught a number of different age groups. I started teaching boys ages 6-10 when I was only 16, and branched out to toddlers, preschoolers (ages 3-6), and school age boys and girls (ages 6-14). Every week I would attend a weekly lesson plan meeting, and before every work day would attend a short power meeting. As a team coach at Tricks I worked in tandem with another team coach to run 2 to 3 different teams of gymnasts. I was responsible for creation of routines, training regimes, parent relations, and running weekly practices.
