Graduating as a Mechanical Engineer in 2009, I was mentored in Project Management and Engineering at Downer’s train manufacturing facility in Maryborough, before moving into the mining industry in 2012. I enjoyed the fast pace of construction and site work and gained great satisfaction from the hands-on roles of Site Supervisor, Project Engineer, Construction and Commissioning Manager for a variety of mine site infrastructure projects, specializing in the delivery of paste and other mine backfill plants. For the last 5+ years I have been working as a Project Manager, overseeing all aspects of project delivery from initial scope definition through to operations and maintenance, gaining experience in flotation, thickening and other areas of minerals processing.Career highlights include an 16 month relocation to Africa for a plant construction project in the DR Congo, and successful delivery of the OZ Minerals Prominent Hill Paste Plant, upon my formal Project Management debut.
