Manage all SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 Databases. There are 40 databases ranging from a few mb to 300 gb.Monitor and manage the file growth of the databases. Responsible for Database back ups; Both full and transaction logs; The SQL Server 2005 databases are backed up using Log Shipping ; The SQL Server 2000 databases are backed up using the NetAPP SnapManager for SQL application. Responsible for the performance and maintenance of the Production and Testing Databases. Manage and develop maintenance plans for the databases. Manage the indexes of the database. Create new indexes, rebuild indexes and reorganize indexes as required.Manage SQL Server jobs. Define Job Properties, job steps, job schedules and job notifications. Create new jobs, as needed. Handle all job failures.Setup and monitor replication of data between databases. Develop and maintain Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers and SQL Alerts that can be used to monitor the health of the databases.Use IDERA SQL Server Compliance Manager to help in monitoring the SQL Servers and the databases. Create reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. Maintain and Monitor the Report Server databases.Working on a team assigned to set up the Disaster Recovery procedures and environment for the company.
