• Co-led the company’s $508 million initial public offering and $200 million secondary offering. • Built strong teams in Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis and Tax to meet public company financial and governance requirements.• Worked closely with the CAO and the board’s compensation consultant to design the company’s annual and long-term incentive plans post-IPO.• Developed a culture of execution to improve financial performance and meet sponsor and Wall Street expectations. • Improved adjusted free cash flow from negative $11 million in 2015 to $166 million in 2019. • Reduced leverage from 5.8x to 3.9x through debt repayment from increased cash flow and $8.9 billion of debt refinancings, repricings and private placements.• Met or exceeded quarterly consensus Adjusted EBITDA estimates in 87% of reported quarters. • Partnered with the CEO to complete the transformation of PQ and rebranding as Ecovyst (NYSE: ECVT). - Two of four business segments sold, reducing the size of the company by 60% but improved projected revenue growth by ~900bps and adjusted EBITDA margins by ~1000bps. Successfully repositioned the remaining businesses with the market by highlighting the sustainable nature of the portfolio. - Implemented a returns-based mindset which led to better decision-making and a restructuring of the Performance Chemicals business segment to improve results, generate $90 million of non-core asset sales and ultimately divest the business. - EV/EBITDA multiple expanded from ~8x to 12x with total shareholder return improvement of 38% post strategic announcement.• Emphasized team development and succession planning which led to my successor being promoted from within.
