Dr. Michael Cushing is board certified highly skilled orthopedic surgeon, practicing at Georgia Bone and Joint in Newnan, Georgia. With 21 years of practice, he has become an expert in treating shoulder injuries, arthroscopically and open. He has special interest treating the shoulder, from the high school athlete with shoulder instability or labral tears, to the weekend warrior with rotator cuff injuries. He is one of the busiest shoulder specialists in Georgia in treating shoulder osteoarthritis, performing 90-100 shoulder replacements a year. Dr Cushing completed his medical school training at the Medical College of Georgia and his residency at Georgia Baptist in Atlanta. He further pursued a shoulder fellowship at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia.
