Also involved in supporting RAF detatchments and Ops when required, often at short notice..Recently based at RAF Coningsby on 1st line support of the CAPTOR Radar/weapon system on Typhoon. A Principal Systems Engineer, professionally registered with the engineering council, with a broad background of systems engineering and customer support from design through to production, including systems integration and in the last 14 years working on the DIRCM (Directional Infra Red Counter Measures) project in the design, development, production, system integration and field service role at both the customers and SELEX premises in the UK and USA. ACHIEVEMENTS• Used extensive technical skills to develop products and win key production contracts in a number of projects• Applied knowledge of company processes and procedures to develop and implement a cost effective repair process which has since won major repair contracts.• Successfully supported product through from early Development to in service roll out resulting in follow on orders now passing the 1000 systems mark.• Diagnosed problems and devised solutions contributing to overall customer satisfaction and to follow on orders.• Successfully led my team to build and deliver Urgent Operational Requirement equipment to RAF.Specialties: SKILL SET AND EXPERIENCEIncludes an analytical and methodical approach, design, development, integration, Qualification testing, aircraft and rig integration, drafting procedures and training.
