My background started with an electrical engineering degree from Boston University followed by experience in a mix of hardware, software, mobile device, and networking. I've worked in Information Systems for nearly 8 years assisting in the maintenance, upgrading, troubleshooting, and installation of electronic devices and associated software throughout our campus. At RUSH Oak Park we aren't confined to a single role, rather we need to be cross trained in all of the aforementioned areas to keep our users and equipment up and running smoothly. Our campus is primarily a Windows environment, but do have managed Apple devices taking up a much larger percentage than in previous years. It is also a Cisco environment on the network end that allows our physicians, nurses, and support staff to work extremely efficiently. I am well versed in the desktop support (software and hardware) and have been gaining a wealth of education on the network side, learning how to properly support equipment on the back end.
