About Michael D. George

Dr. Michael George serves as the Principal Investigator on community and state projects in South Carolina, where he conducts project evaluation. He has had specialized training in underage drinking enforcement, environmental strategies, community policing, undercover officer training, drug investigations, and traffic safety. Dr. George has instructed police officers and others about issues involving underage drinking enforcement, traffic safety, community policing, gang and drug investigations, and policing in public housing. He has experience as a higher education professor facilitating criminal justice, emergency management, and public administration undergraduate and graduate courses. Dr. George serves as an evaluator for the Act Now Project. ACT Now is an initiative to reimagine policing and public safety for the 21st century by harnessing the energy and ingenuity of the American people.
