As an Associate in the Analytics team at the Child Poverty Action Lab, my role involved:Developing systems for sharing data insights across CPAL focus areas with senior leadership and community stakeholders.Generating reports and dashboards using R, QGIS, Tableau, ArcGIS, and Google Suite products to support ongoing projects.Analyzing civic, federal, and private data related to CPAL's core priorities to derive insights for organizational strategy.Presenting findings, recommendations, and results to partner organizations, leading to actionable insights in areas such as afterschool programming, housing instability, and public safety.

In this role, my responsibilities included meeting with and interviewing participants for biomedical research projects being conducted. Analyzing data and producing reports for internal use in research findings. Conducted literature and policy reviews for review by senior staff. Project management for studies being conducted across multiple departments.

In this role, I led a project reviewing the current policy and research landscape on best practices across topic areas central to the legislative agenda of Children at Risk, Research related to state and local policy on early childhood development and school performance. Development of policy and research-based briefs examing best practices for schools across Texas for senior leadership and state-level stakeholders.

In this role with the Developmental Neurolinguistics Lab at the University of Texas at Dallas my responsibilities included community outreach with relevant local organizations in order to present findings to families and local leadership. Recruitment, training, and management of a team of 10-15 research assistants across each semester. Literature reviews and project plan development for studies being conducted through the university. Recruitment of over 300 participants for research studies from local schools and youth programs.

In this role, for the Project on Language and Spatial Development at Florida International University. My responsibilities included transcribing and coding audio files. Assessment of pre-kindergarten children’s spatial abilities and verbal intelligence. Training research assistants on proper protocol for assessments and audio transcription. Meeting with and recruiting school directors and parents into research studies being conducted, carrying sensitive participant data to and from locations across the county throughout the duration of studies.
