I have completed my enlistment in the US Air Force after 21 years with an honorable retirement and I'm transitioning to the private sector. Most of my military career however I worked as a Biomedical Equipment Technician. It was here I learned how to manage large teams of 19 or more in maintaining more than 10K medical assets. While managing these teams I became a master at working database and the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS). I was trained primary in radiology to include ultrasound, CT, and radiation and fluoroscopy. I was also trained in Hemodialysis equipment and learned how to work on most of the hospital inventory. I was trained as a First Sergeant my final years in the Air Force and it was essential that I became proficient at critical thinking, conflict management, and time management. I was fortunate to have had many opportunities to acquire and develop a range of skills to include but not limited to leadership, process improvement, and self discipline. Thanks to a number of challenging experiences I learned the importance of performance under pressure, customer relationships, and ensuring I remain approachable.
