Senior Attorney
CurrentMr. Danforth started his own firm in February 2017. He has been an attorney for the last 23 years. He also served as a Special Counsel to the Attorney General of Virginia. He received a B.A. from Northern Illinois University, and a J.D. from Regent University. He is a licensed attorney in state and federal courts in Illinois, and in state courts in Virginia. In addition, he is a certified arbitrator, mediator and guardian ad litem in Illinois with his practice being focused in Family Law, General Civil Litigation and Firearm Regulatory Law for the firearm industry. He lectures on various legal topics including. He served as Northern Illinois University Student Government President, DeKalb County Board Member, and DeKalb County Forest Preserve Commissioner, and is a member of numerous bar associations. He practices civil, family, federal firearm imports regulations, land use, municipal, probate, real estate and transactional law. In February 2017 he was appointed to the Lake County Board where he serves on the Law and Judicial committee, Public Works and Transportation committee, Ethics Committee, Lake County Partners and Storm Water Management. He is also a commissioner to the Lake County Forest Preserves and serves on the Operations committee.
