Contracted Consultant ­ IronPro Underwriting Operations & Administration Provide a consistent point of contact with profit centers to ensure that all commercial specialty insurance products are properly drafted, obtain legal sign-off and are filed for approval. Develop internal procedures and internal quality control checks to enhance efficiency and speed of form development, review and filing. Act as liaison between outside counsel, third party filer and home office compliance department to ensure products are designed and/or reviewed to limit adverse exposure, comply with regulatory requirements and ensure proper speed to market. Responsible for attaining profit objectives, renewal retention, new business production and expanding brokerage relationships. Underwrote 20 to 30 renewal accounts per month and managed a total book of business averaging $8M. Generated $1.2M of new business in the last 10 months of 2009. Analyzed exposures, risks and financial statements; formulated premiums; and conducted coverage and pricing negotiations with brokers and insureds.
