12 Years experience as an LV/11Kv/33kv Overhead Linesman and LV Cable Jointer. Highly experienced in all areas of live LV work including fault location and repair and LV linking and fusing both overhead and underground. Experience of overhead construction techniques at voltages up to 33kv (dead), pole replacement using a variety of equipment and techniques, HV fault repairs, service replacement and polarity testing. Experience of assisting an HV cable jointer to prepare and complete both poly/poly and transition HV joints and pole terminations. Experience of excavating around cables, other utilities and in the vicinity of faults. I also have experience of assisting with the connection of mobile generators to the LV network or directly to a customer's service.I am highly experienced in carrying out on-site risk assessment and supervising trainee linesmen. I have a clean class 1 HGV license including CPC. IPAF 1b, Ladder association inspector/user ticket, PASMA low level tower inspector/user ticket, NRSWA 1-3, IOSH, C&G level 2 Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and Distribution, First Aid, Pole-top rescue and self-rescue from a MEWP.
